چکیده

A description of the generalized Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn sum rules for proton and neutron is suggested, using their relation to the Bjorken sum rule. The results support an earlier conjecture, that the structure function gT features a smooth Q−dependence, while the structure function g2 is changing rapidly, due to the elastic contribution to the Burkhardt-Cottingham sum rule. A possible violation of this later sum rule is briefly discussed. E-mail: [email protected] E–mail: [email protected]

Analysis of Data on Polarized Lepton-Nucleon Scattering

We re-analyze data on deep inelastic polarized lepton-nucleon scattering, with particular attention to testing the Bjorken sum rule and estimating the quark contributions to the nucleon spin. Since only structure function data at fixed Q can be used to test sum rules, we use E142 asymmetry measurements and unpolarized structure function data to extract g 1 at fixed Q 2 = 2 GeV. When higher-twis...

Target Mass Effects in QCD Bjorken Sum Rule

We investigate the target mass effects in QCD Bjorken sum rule. The magnitude of the target mass correction is estimated in a variety of methods employing positivity bound as well as the experimental data for the asymmetry parameters. It turns out that the target mass correction is sizable at low Q of the order of a few GeV, where the QCD correction is significant. We show that there exists unc...

A Bjorken sum rule for semileptonic Ωb decays to ground and excited charmed baryon states

A Bjorken sum rule for semileptonic Ω b decays to ground and excited charmed baryon states We derive a Bjorken sum rule for semileptonic Ω b decays to ground and low-lying negative-parity excited charmed baryon states, in the heavy quark limit. We discuss the restriction from this sum rule on form factors and compare it with some models.

Determination of the Low Q Evolution of the Bjorken Integral

A main reason to study the generalized GDH sum is to understand the transition from the hadronic to the partonic descriptions of the nucleon. The generalized GDH sum is in principle calculable at any Q, which makes it an ideal tool to study the hadronic to partonic transition. This topic was covered in the symposium. However, the validity domains of the available chiral perturbation theory (χPT...

Comment on polarized quark distributions extracted from SIDIS experiments

The results of SIDIS experiments concerning the first moments of the polarized quark distributions are considered. The possible reasons of the deviation from the fundamental restrictions such as the Bjorken sum rule and the ways to properly improve the analysis of measured SIDIS asymmetries are discussed. The possibility of broken polarized sea scenario is analysed. PACS number(s): 13.60.Hb, 12...
